The former prison Kilmainham Gaol is now a museum open for those who would like to see how the prisoners lived between 1796 and 1924. Visits include a guided tour and an exhibition of alarming and inspirational themes.

Shortly after your booking is complete your e-ticket will be sent directly to your email, just print it out and bring it with you on your tour.

How long is my ticket valid?
Your tickets are valid for either 24 or 48 hours. 
48-hour tickets must be used on consecutive days. Your tickets are valid 3 months from the date of purchase. 

How many stops are there?
There are 43 tour stops where you can hop on and off. 

How long are the tours?
The tours last 90 minutes. 

How often do the buses run?
The Red route runs every 10-20 minutes.
The Blue Route runs every 30-60 minutes.
The Yellow route runs every 30 minute. 

What languages is the audio guide available in?
The audio guides are available in: English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Mandarin, Russian & Irish. 

Are there children's tickets available?
Two children under 12 years old travel free with every full paying adult. For additional children, you can get children's tickets for children between age 4-12.
