When not playing JD in Scrubs, Zach Braff has been busy with his one act play All New People, which has been playing for full houses at the off-Broadway Second Stage Theatre. In February, All New People will transfer to the West End after a short run in both Manchester and Glasgow.
Zach Braff debutes in West End debut in the role of Charlie, who has hit rock bottom on his 35th birthday. While spending goes into hiding in a wealthy friends’ luxury apartment, where he plans to get some alone time. Charlie’s plans are interrupted by a hired beauty, a fireman and a British real estate agent who is desperate to remain in the US.
The play received rave reviews from US critics, with its take on present day dilemmas and the exploration of four very different characters way of life.
Peter DuBois will direct this “morbidly funny” play at the Duke of York’s Theatre, which previews from February 22nd.
